Boudoir Prep Guide

Your guide to feeling confident, prepared, and supported before your intimate session.

Before Your Session

Set the Mood Early

A boudoir session is an experience, not just a photoshoot.

In the days leading up to your session:

• Get good rest

• Stay hydrated

• Moisturize daily

• Wear loose clothing to avoid marks

• Avoid stress-inducing plans the night before

Give yourself permission to slow down.

Your session is about confidence, connection, and celebration.

Avoid New Things Right Before:

• No brand-new skincare

• No brand-new spray tans

• No trying new shaving/waxing methods

• No last-minute crash dieting

• No experimenting with new makeup techniques

We want everything to look natural and feel comfortable.

GROOMING NOTES

Shaving / Waxing

• If shaving, do it the night before to avoid redness

• If waxing, do it 2–3 days before to avoid bumps

• Don’t try waxing for the first time right before your session

• Moisturize after hair removal to keep skin smooth

Hands & Feet

These show more in boudoir than you think.

• Simple nails are perfect

• Neutral polish looks clean and timeless

• Remove chipped polish

Lips

• Exfoliate gently

• Use hydrating balm daily leading up to your session

Brows

• Light grooming is enough

• Avoid dramatic changes right before your shoot

CONFIDENCE TIPS

1. Nervous is normal — everyone starts that way.

Within 10 minutes, most clients feel relaxed, supported, and excited.

2. You do NOT need to know how to pose.

I guide you through every movement, angle, and breath.

3. Bring outfits you feel good in, not just “sexy” pieces.

Confidence photographs better than any lingerie.

4. Trust the process.

Good boudoir photography is about connection, guidance, and emotion—not perfection.

5. This session is for YOU.

Let this be a day where you celebrate your body, your beauty, and your power exactly as you are.
