Who I Am
I’m Kamal Johnson — the creator behind CP Photography and CP Intimates, specializing in couples photography, lifestyle portraits, and boudoir sessions here in beautiful Okinawa, Japan.
I started my photography journey in 2018, and what began as a passion quickly became a way for me to connect with people, document their stories, and create images that feel real, emotional, and unforgettable.
As a creative who loves travel, anime, gaming, and exploring culture, I approach every session with curiosity and calm energy. My goal is simple:
to help you feel comfortable, confident, and truly seen.
My Photography Philosophy
Whether I’m photographing couples, families, portraits, or intimate boudoir sessions in Okinawa, my approach is always rooted in connection.
Photography shouldn’t feel stiff or transactional.
It should feel like an experience — one where you can relax, be yourself, and actually enjoy the moment.
I work with natural posing, cinematic lighting, and gentle direction so you don’t have to worry about “what to do.”
You just show up — I guide the rest.
Why I Love Photographing People
I shoot because people deserve to see themselves in their strongest, softest, boldest, and most meaningful forms.
Photography gives us the ability to freeze confidence, connection, emotion, and transformation — the moments we don’t always see in ourselves, but absolutely deserve to.
